Hullo Precious!

It’s not by accident that you’re here; but to cherish the narratives of my life, woven by God over the years. Through peaks and troughs, my way was paved with grace that knew no bounds. Sunrise and sundown, God has remained faithful. He has carried me on His mighty shoulders and has always drawn me close to His heart to keep me warm even at the darkest hours.

I guessed, it's time that I etch it and shout out the incessant grace that hovers over my life. The tales that will be posted here are scenes from my memory lane where God showed up. In moments of weakness, moments of joy, moments of anguish and moments of pure bliss, God showed up and reminded me that I am His beloved child.

A bunch of years ago, I followed my mum’s footsteps, and was inspired to direct a play with the kids during the Vacation Bible School. The lines of Zacchaeus’ story created a whirl in me and I decided to jump right into it. Zacchaeus is no stranger to us – a tax collector by profession, who was short in stature and profusely wealthy, wanted to see Jesus. He ran and climbed over a sycamore-fig tree and waited to see Jesus who was going that way. To his astonishment, Jesus came to the tree and told him to make haste and come down, for he had planned to stay at his house that day. Rest is a familiar history.

You may ask, why this memory now? Years and years to this incident, but it's stuck to me because, that’s when I realised – the Sycamore-Fig tree was planted for Zacchaeus, ahead of time because he would one day wanna see Jesus, even though for a brief moment. Don’t you think God has planted a Sycamore tree personally for you to climb up and look at Him?

We remind ourselves that God holds the big picture, but we fail to acknowledge that God drew the picture from scratch and slowly and steadily is adding colour to it. If you are at crossroads today, if questions are hitting you square in the face one after the other, flashbacks are playing in a lovely edited sequence, mind is at war, you feel you don't have the strength to go on, losses have piled up, emotions have built up… Stop, take a deep breath and lookout for the Sycamore tree!

The Sycamore tree is a sign, cos God is standing right under the tree watching you. He is goanna call out your name and is goanna come and stay with you tonight. Are you willing to bank on Him again?

Your sycamore tree is waiting for you - have faith

Luke 19:10

“…for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Dear Precious lil child! As Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, I pray that your spirits be rekindled and you wish to see Jesus again today. Let your heart climb up high and reach out to Jesus. Let all of that is portrayed about you be scratched out. Let God take control, for He has come to save that which was lost. Surrender to Him today. May you find the sycamore tree that was planted for you by God.

Amen
